The past few weeks have been a flurry of activity and we have many developments to update you on.
On June 19, Missionary Keith Nix resigned from the oversight of the work TAPCB. The work of God in Peru is going through a time of transition that has subsequently placed additional demands on Bro. Nix’s time and ministry. We are so grateful for the effort and sacrificial investment made by Bro. Nix in the work of God in Belize. His heartbeat for advancing the kingdom of God has been evident by his dedication during this time.
Join us in praying for God’s continued blessing on Bro. Nix’s ministry, and the work of God in Peru.
Upon receiving word of Bro. Nix’s resignation, we immediately set the wheels in motion for the placement of an on-site missionary. That weekend we flew Pastor Damon McKillop to Belize to minister at TAPCB.
We are happy to report that three backsliders prayed through that weekend, with many more backsliders and guests in attendance! The next weekend, a new soul was baptized in Jesus’ name in San Jose. To God be the Glory!
After prayerful consideration and counsel, Pastor Damon McKillop and family (Marcia, Gage, Jayden, Brody, Chloe & Sadie) committed to a three-month appointment in Belize (July—September). We thank God for their willingness to serve the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Belize during this time of transition.
Pastor McKillop has pastored one of our daughter works for the past eight years. Shortly after we announced to our local church that they would be leaving, a young man approached us about joining them for their missionary term. We are excited to announce that Cole Edgar will be working along side the McKillop’s in Belize for the next three months! Thank God for young people who are KINGDOM minded!
On July 3, they landed in Belize City. They are busy getting set up. There is much work to be done. The properties and vehicles are in need of maintenance and general upkeep. We will keep you posted as the work — both physical and spiritual — progresses! THANK YOU, to all of our supporters, for once again believing in Belize. We are confident that God has a great revival in this country... and because of you, it will happen.
