It is hard to believe that, as of July 2024, the McKillop family has been in Belize for five years! We want to say THANK YOU to every person who has supported our journey. On behalf of our family, we want you to know that we appreciate every text message, phone call, word of encouragement, and, most importantly, every prayer that has been spoken on our behalf. It would have been IMPOSSIBLE without you. Through every sickness, accident, lockdown (Covid), and trial of our faith (no shipwrecks yet), we have seen the hand of God, and we feel the assurance of being in his perfect will because we have also experienced great victories and power, revival, healing and deliverance. Believe it or not, we are just getting started!
Philemon 1:10

While reading Philemon this week, these two scriptures caught my attention. Over the past five years, we have seen God do amazing things in many people's lives here in Belize. Alcoholics and drug addicts are being restored. People are finding hope, joy, peace and liberty. Their lives have become profitable for their families, marriages, communities and ultimately for the Kingdom of God! We endeavour to be good stewards of the resources placed in our hands. Not only monetarily, although that plays a large part, but also the talents, skills, and potential of the souls under our care. The heartbeat of FWC Belize is that we are profitable with the talents that have been placed in our hands. Profitable to thee and to me, one soul at a time.
Truth Learning Academy
Since coming to Belize, our goal has been to establish a mission work that is profitable for advancing the Kingdom of God. One of our journeys is establishing a Christian School at our headquarters in Guinea Grass. TLA has proven very beneficial, although very costly, in the long-term establishment of men and women with character, integrity, ethics and morals. We are in the midst of a major renovation to the school facility. The entire building has been gutted, and the rebuilding has begun. We strive for excellence in our children's education; therefore, we believe our children deserve a place of excellence to learn and study.

This renovation will bring new flooring, sheetrock, insulation, a bathroom facility, and AC units. We are grateful that so many of you have donated to this project to get us where we are today. The school curriculum (over $4,500 US) has been ordered and is currently en route to Belize. This renovation required upgraded wiring along with continued prevention of water and rodent damage to the existing structure. New insulation is being installed, and the building will be sealed to prevent bats and other rodents from continuing to find a way in! If you would like to get behind this project or the ongoing cost of operating our school, we would be very appreciative.

Church Remodel In Punta Gorda
Since we arrived five years ago, the church facility in Punta Gorda Town has needed an upgrade. Several men from Guinea Grass were able to travel 5 hours and help with the construction of the walls. Permit issues have held us back for the past couple of months, but we are excited to begin moving on with this project again. We can't wait to install the windows and doors so the saints of PG have a beautiful place to worship.
Bible Studies In Orange Walk Town
We have held weekly bible studies in Orange Walk for the past two years. These have brought stability to our new converts and an opportunity to reach the souls of this town. Because of increased attendance and their hunger for revival, we feel the time is right for us to expand into the next phase. An opportunity has opened up for us to rent an existing church building. Although it will require repairs, new wiring, bathroom building, and chairs, the owners have allowed our startup cost to go toward the rent for the next year. We anticipate this building will be ready for our first Bible Study on October 7. Please pray that God will give us wisdom and favour.

Vacation Bible School
Thanks to Pastor Dathan Tipton and his team, VBS Belize was a huge success! This was a first for us, and we were excited with the turnout! The kids had a wonderful time, and we believe seeds were planted for future growth.
